Assessment Centre first exams in 2027
International School Aberdeen (ISA) is delighted to announce the launch of its new dedicated Assessment Centre, expanding access to essential qualification testing for students across the North East of Scotland. Registration is now open for exams, with the first sitting in Spring / Summer 2027.
Designed as a welcoming space for internal students, the centre opens up vital examination opportunities helping to support local families, independent learners, and home-schooling parents across the region who require formal exam sitting facilities.
IGCSE & GCSE Examination Opportunities
Until now, candidates in the North East sitting qualifications independently often had to travel as far as Edinburgh to access an approved examination venue. The launch of the ISA Assessment Centre removes that barrier by offering a comfortable, accessible, and supportive local environment right here in Aberdeen.
Through the new centre, external candidates, including home-schooled students needing official subject qualifications, can sit a wide range of IGCSE and GCSE examinations through both Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel qualifications. These exam options complement ISA’s own secondary curriculum, where ISA students sit optional examinations across five key IGCSE subjects alongside their broader international baccalaureate studies.
Our aim is to provide one central, dedicated space in the North East where candidates and their families feel fully supported from start to finish. From managing entries to coordinating access arrangements, we take care of all the administrative details to make the entire process as seamless and stress-free as possible for the students sitting their exams.

SAT Testing & Regional Convenience
In addition to IGCSE and GCSE qualifications, the ISA Assessment Centre hosts SAT examinations six times a year, providing an invaluable pathway for students preparing for applications to US universities and international higher education institutions.
Situated at ISA’s campus on North Deeside Road, the centre offers an ideal testing environment. Candidates benefit from convenient campus parking, easy transportation links, and modern, comfortable examination spaces designed to help students perform at their best on exam day.
