Introducing Encore!
At ISA we are re-imagining our extended hours provision, and are excited to announce the launch of Encore! From August 2025, Encore! will be our own programme of care for all students until 6:00pm.
We aim to provide enriching, nurturing, creative opportunities for ISA students, and flexibility for families to choose how many days a week they need this extended service.
As the name suggests, Encore! will provide even more of the school the students love!
Introducing Zou Fraser
We are delighted to introduce Zou Fraser, our Encore! Director who will lead the team of staff caring for children in the Encore! programme.
Zou has worked at ISA for 6 years, both as a classroom teacher in the Elementary School and providing English as a Second Language (ESL/EFL) support.
Zou knows many of the children well already and is planning fantastic activities for them to take part in!
Encore! After School Care for Elementary & Middle School
Elementary & Middle School children (aged around 5 - 13) will be involved in after school clubs and activities from 3-4pm, followed by relaxed play, both indoors and outdoors, and an opportunity to complete home learning. Dinner will be served for those who want a meal and students will be encouraged to help out with the serving and clearing up, much like a family dinner!
Please note that regular after school activities from 3-4pm continue as currently offered to all students, at no extra cost.
Encore! options for Preschool (Nursery)
We are thrilled to announce that, from August 2025, ISA will be entering into partnership with Aberdeen City Council. This means we will be able to offer 1140 hours of funded provision. This funding will be available during term time, from 8:00am - 2:10pm, Monday to Friday, with lunch provided as part of the funded hours.
Families can opt in for an extended day from 2:10pm - 6:00pm term time, with an afternoon food offering included. This will be known as ISA Preschool Encore!, in line with the new ISA Encore! after school programme.
Holiday provision from 8:00am - 6:00pm will add a further element to our extended care, and will be known as ISA Preschool Encore+.
