Student life is extremely well balanced at ISA. With over 50 after school clubs available across the school year, students are encouraged to enjoy and participate in an array of experiences and opportunities in a high achieving multi-cultural environment.
9
We actively encourage our students to maintain and develop their mother-tongue languages. In addition to the Dutch and French home language programmes, which have regularly timetabled classes, we have several after-school 'Home Language Groups' in Arabic, German and Italian.
We are also happy to set up additional groups if there is sufficient interest.
10
We strive to make the transition to ISA as smooth as possible for all our new families – we say families because parents are as much a part of the transition process as the students themselves.
As Scotland’s first international school, we have many years’ experiences supporting children through transition and we are uniquely placed to help families cope with the ups and downs that change can bring.
Student wellbeing sits at the heart of everything we do and, as such, our transition process is focused on wellbeing, friendship, and inclusion.
