Students win First Place at ADA Scotland Festival

Our Grade 10 students, Eloise and Aliya won first place at the ADA Scotland Festival – a series of online events that focus on addressing gender imbalance in Computing Science.

Girls from schools and colleges from all over Scotland were invited to submit a video presentation in the theme of “Why did you get into Computing and what do you get out of it”.

Despite the many challenges faced working remotely, Eloise and Aliya worked together to create an entire storyboard, voiceover, slideshow animation and video compilation sharing their personal journey in the world of Computing Science.

At ISA, we actively encourage our students to find their own path. This win highlights that you can overcome stereotypes by playing to your own strengths and focusing on what you are passionate about to find fulfilment.

Watch Eloise and Aliya’s winning video below. We are so proud of you both – congratulations girls!
