A day in the life of . . . Aiendri
Lego, lunch and learning…read about a typical day at preschool from one of our students.
“In the morning, I take the bus to school with my sister, making sure she crosses the road safely. We arrive by 8:05am, and I head upstairs to drop my bag in my locker. In advisory, our teacher takes attendance and shares updates before we dive into discussions, activities, or simply catching up – it’s always a lively start to the day.
“Next is science, one of my favourite classes. Thursdays mean a double lesson, often with a lab experiment. Whether we’re planning an investigation or figuring out why bath bombs fizz in water, it’s always a mix of creativity and problem-solving!
“After a quick break, when there’s time for socialising with friends, enjoying a snack, and getting to know different people in the crowded corridor, it’s time for language and literature. Here we learn to write creatively, interpret texts and explore how words carry different meanings and purposes.

“Lunch follows, either from home or the cafeteria – which serves some delicious meals. After eating, we usually head outside to the big pitch, though sometimes I join a game of badminton or table tennis in the gym.
“The afternoon kicks off with art class, where we can unleash our creativity and express ourselves through painting and drawing. Then we have another break to cool off and gather our things for the last lesson today, which is maths. We cover different topics and always strive to expand our knowledge.
“When the bell rings, some head home, but I stay for badminton club. It’s a fun and friendly environment where I can improve my skills.”
