A day in the life of… Sophie

I’m Sophie Innes, and I’m from Aberdeen. I’ve been an Early Years Practitioner in the ISA Preschool for six years. I was fortunate to be placed at ISA as a student in 2018 while working on my Early Years Qualifications, and I’ve been able to grow as a practitioner here ever since. I’m currently continuing my education by pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Studies.

I remember my first visit to ISA, where I was struck by an overwhelming sense of kindness and warmth that was truly inspiring. It became clear to me that I had found a place where I could develop and thrive as an individual while also supporting and encouraging young learners to do the same. The “ISA Family” really is something special!

The most rewarding aspect of working in Preschool is the limitless possibilities; you never know what each day will bring! It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness the children grow and learn in a nurturing and stimulating environment, and I take great joy in seeing them discover themselves through play. I truly appreciate the Preschool approach to learning and feel lucky to have found a place that aligns with my practices and beliefs in early years education.
