As you enter our green and leafy campus you’ll be struck by the combination of old and new – a traditional granite reception building that is the gateway to one of the country’s finest purpose-built schools.
“Next, it could be my maths class. This is in my classroom with my regular teacher. This is usually be followed by literacy. The teacher gives us tasks in literacy which is usually pretty fun!
“Lunchtime depends on your grade: if you’re in Grade 3 or above, you play first and then eat; if you’re in Grade 2 or below, you eat first and then head out to play. Everyone gets their turn!
“Afternoons are usually filled with more relaxed activities. Sometimes it’s active learning, which means we might get into teams to solve a puzzle or build a model of something we are learning about. It’s a really fun way to learn. On Fridays we all gather in the ISA theatre for assembly, where we celebrate birthdays, talk about the week ahead and sometimes play a fun quiz together.”
“When the day wraps up, I either get picked up, hop on the bus, or head to one of the after-school clubs. There are so many to choose from – football, judo and loads of other fun activities.”
